Neste completed its first processing run of liquefied waste plastic in Finland
The processing run marks a very important milestone with regards to Neste’s strategic aims of driving circular economy and replacing crude oil use at its own refineries. Neste’s target is to process over 1 million tons of waste plastic annually from 2030 onwards.
Neste increases the use of wind power in production in Finland
Neste aims to reach carbon neutral production by 2035 and is increasing the use of renewable electricity at its production sites in Finland. As the result of the agreements with Ilmatar and Fortum, nearly 30% of the energy used at Neste’s production sites in Porvoo and Naantali will be renewable wind power in 2022.

We are committed to combating climate change and reducing the direct climate impact of our own activities. All aspects of greenhouse gas emissions in Neste’s production will be analyzed. The company has already identified more than 50 different measures and actions to decrease GHG emissions in production.
Acquisition of Count Terminal Rotterdam strengthens Neste's renewable raw materials supply
Neste has acquired 100% of Count Terminal Rotterdam BV, which stores, refines and blends renewable waste and residue-based raw materials in Rotterdam. Acquisition enables Neste to further develop its raw material logistics.
Production capacity expansion in Singapore
Neste is increasing its renewable products production capacity in Singapore. The EUR 1.4 billion investment will increase Neste’s renewable products production capacity by 1.3 million ton/a, bringing the total global renewable product capacity close to 4.5 million ton/a in 2022. The extended refinery is expected to start operations in mid-2022.
